Taxi service – maximum 4 people

Thank you for choosing You Call You Go for your journey. This document contains the terms and conditions of service, as well as the amenities offered on board. All the services offered by You Call You Go are available at youcallyougo.fr

–            Price

The fare is determined by the taximeter displayed in the rearview mirror. It is based on the current official fare schedule, the details of which, per kilometer and per hour, are shown on one of the mandatory notices inside the vehicle.

The pick-up charge is one of the factors that determines the fare. When your taxi arrives at your pick-up location, it starts its meter at the nearest taxi rank. There are 17 taxi ranks in Tours and its metropolitan area, 12 of which serve as regular departure points for taxis. However, to keep fares manageable, we charge a pick-up charge of between €6 and €7 for trips originating from, arriving at, or transiting through the Tours metropolitan area. In certain cases, this charge may be higher, and the customer must agree to this price difference in advance. The pick-up charge does not apply for departures directly from a taxi rank (e.g., a train station).

–           Waiting

Your taxi will wait for you for a maximum of 5 minutes at your pick-up location and will call and/or text you. You have 5 minutes to arrive. This wait may be extended if the customer has requested it in advance and the taxi driver has agreed. This ensures a reasonable wait time for other customers. If you do not arrive, the ride will be canceled, and you may be charged a fare or face a service ban in case of repeated offenses.

–           How we organize your ride

When booking, it is essential to provide us with a precise pick-up location and drop-off address, along with any relevant notifications. This allows us to calculate the price as accurately as possible and to schedule lessons following yours.

–            Advance booking of services and cancellation fees

When you book a vehicle for an event (such as a wedding, a tour of the region, etc.) or a long journey, a credit card authorization may be required. This is particularly, but not exclusively, the case for long journeys or journeys lasting several hours. A remote pre-authorization is processed by credit card (Visa, Mastercard only).

The following breakdown applies to cancellation fees:

  • From 15 days prior to arrival (no charge)
  • From 7 days prior to arrival: 50%
  • From 3 days prior to arrival: 100%

Specific conditions, such as a major strike or force majeure events, are exceptional circumstances that may waive these fees. You will be required to provide supporting documentation to be exempt.

–            Payment upon departure

In certain cases, at the driver’s discretion, the customer may be asked to pay for the ride before departure. This may apply, but is not limited to, to rides with high fares, when the customer has no known history of fares, or conversely, when the customer has not paid for rides in the past. The fare is then estimated and will be adjusted upon arrival.

–            Lost and Found Management

In case of loss, your belongings will be carefully stored for 3 years. If the driver can identify the person who lost them, they will do everything possible to contact the owner.

Depending on the customer’s source, the item can be made available to them in different ways.

When a customer uses the GIE Taxis de Tours office, their item can be made available during the office’s opening hours, located at 1 rue d’Estienne d’Orves, 37000 Tours, from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

If the customer booked directly through You Call You Go, we will contact them directly and find a solution together. For example, we may offer an in-person meeting, depending on everyone’s availability, or we can send the item by mail (at the customer’s expense).

If the customer is at a taxi stand or if the taxi was hailed in the street, the customer is rarely identifiable. If the owner can be identified, we will make every effort to contact them and find a solution. We will keep this information for three years.

Regarding your identity documents, they will be handed over to law enforcement as soon as possible so that they can be returned to you.

–            Case of subcontracting

When a customer requests a ride, the ride may be subcontracted to a carefully selected taxi or private hire vehicle (PHV). This is particularly, but not limited to, cases where the customer requests a specific type of vehicle. The customer will receive a text message with a link containing all the information about their ride, including the driver’s contact details. We strive to rigorously select each driver and ensure their compliance with regulations at the time of their registration with our service. As our subcontractors are not employees and have no affiliation with You Call You Go, we disclaim all responsibility if the driver is not in compliance with regulations at the time of the ride. However, any unusual behavior or suspected violation of local T3P regulations (detailed below) should be reported to our usual contact number so that we can investigate the subcontractor in question.
